Nick:

As a candidate for mayor of New Orleans, there is one very important issue where I believe you can score points and major respect by taking a real interest in. I have been on a rant all week about the need for Louisiana and its politicians to fight for its fair share of offshore oil & gas revenues.

Nick,

Congratulations! Shawne sent me the link to your site and I was compelled to leave a comment. I admire your drive, as I have always maintained that we need not "talk about it, but be about it." I am most impressed that you have chosen to step up and speak out. It's interesting that, while we were at A. B. Freeman, I didn't realize we shared a birthday! I guess that explains why you are so likeable! BTW, if you ever want to discuss the City's infrastructure, the levees, or phyto-/bio- remediation, I'd love to chat. When it comes to issues regarding the environment, I have a lot to say. (Quiet as it's kept, I have a degree in civil engineering.) Anyway, take care and best wishes in your endeavors.

Thank you for placing a link on your website to mine. I will add yours to my site this evening. I admire you in the fact that you are in med school and attempting this. I have postponed my applications to law school for this race. Drop me a line when you have some time so we may speak privately.

Nick,

I think you've hit the nail on the head when you call for young people to help rebuild New Orleans. Young entrepreneurs will be essential to bringing life back to New Orleans. As you said above, we are the perfect demographic because we are willing and able to overcome the pains of regrowth. Good luck!
